Hi everyone!
On the last update we mentioned making some holiday soap and they are now ready for purchase along with some restocked soap. We’ve got the details on them below. We’ve also added an astringency scale to the top of the soap page to help you make the best choice for your skin. The body care section of the website has also gotten a user friendly overhaul with the use of some drop down menus! We hope this makes browsing the store a little easier on the eyes. The big news this week is our launch of medicinal balms! We’ve been happily infusing oils and wild harvesting some of the plants from local forests. Please check out the descriptions below for all the info on the varieties we have made.

Last thing to note is we are stoked to have another local shop in Olympia begin selling our products.  Einmaleins in downtown Olympia is carrying a nice variety of our shampoo, soap and toothpaste and it was fun making the display for the store!  Check out the link they posted on their site:

[u]Healing Comfrey Balm[/u]
Comfrey infused oil is great for use on wounds, sprains, bruises, psoriasis, & eczema. Aids cellular regeneration and shortens healing time. Think of this as your herbal neosporin!

[u]Anti-Microbial Ointment[/u]
For use on rashes, sores & any type of irritated skin. Great for diaper rash as it is gentle enough for babies. A soothing and powerful infusion of herbs and essential oils.

[u]Anti-Fungal Balm[/u]
For use on skin fungi, ringworm & athlete’s foot. Can also help soothe and prevent cold sores. Black walnut infused olive oil is a potent anti-fungal in combination with these choice essential oils.

For the most sensitive of skin types! This bar is made with a rich and creamy combination of soothing butters and oils picked for their skin healing properties.

[u]Sweet Oats & Carrot[/u]
Great for irritated skin. Honey, Oats & Carrot Seed Essential Oil soothe and rejuvenate.

Hey everyone!
Days are growing shorter. Nights are getting colder. Snow has begun falling; at least in our neck of the woods. ‘The Season’ is upon us, sneaking up quick and inevitably. If soap and balms aren’t enough for the stockings, perhaps our holiday bundle will fit the bill.

Also, we are a bit embarrassed that our toothpaste tins were leaking in the mail. With great haste, we have resolved the issue. Now each toothpaste comes in a larger 8oz. amber tub, similar to the shampoo, with a sealing disc in the lid. No more sneaky leaks from our essential oils. New picture coming to the website later this week.

We are stoked for the coming year. Our plans for lip balm domination have begun to crystallize with the newly fallen snow. Expect exciting things in 2011. (By the way, did you know Burt’s Bee’s is owned by [u]CLOROX[/u]. Shocked us too.)

In the spirit of the season we have a special gift for our customers. We’ve put an easter egg page on the website. It contains mixes of music that we have been listening to lately. Our favorite soap bar is back in stock! If you’ve not given the Vetiver a try, we highly recommend it.

**Shampoo Update **
The shampoo has been an overwhelming success and because of this we’ve begun buying our ingredients in bulk. This saves us money and we’re passing that on to you. All shampoo varieties are now $10 instead of $12. Thanks to everyone that’s supported us delving into this new product!
