Soy Flour Biscuits

* 1/2 cups soy flour
* 2 cups whole wheat flour
* 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
* 1/3 cup vegetable oil
* 3/4 cup soy milk

Sift dry ingredients together. Add liquids. Stir until dough cleans bowl. Knead dough 15 times. Roll out to 1.25 centimeter / 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into biscuits and place on oiled baking sheet. Bake at 205C/400F for 15-20 minutes or until done.

To cut into ‘biscuits’ you can use a cup with a bit of flour on the rim… biscuits over here are usually about 5-7 centimeters / 2-3 inches across and circular. You can make them larger (I do this with sweet potato biscuits) and use them for sandwiches. Traditionally they’re used to mop gravy up (or are served covered in gravy).

The recipe itself tastes very delicious! I wonder, when this biscuits will get baked, it will smell so sweet and wonderful. I am crazy for cheese layer which you mentioned that we can add, I guess increases the softness in the cafe. Too much mouth-watering one! Also, I like vanilla and orange/ lemon flavour, but as this is something new, gonna surely try for it.
