Red Tomato Chutney Recipe

Ingredients 4-6 tomatoes (medium size)
2-4 garlic cloves
Pepper powder to taste
pinch salt
pinch sugar
For Seasoning
1/2 tsp cooking oil
pinch black mustard seed
pinch cumin
1 stem curry leaf (fresh best)
Instructions Wash and cut all vegetables
Cook tomatoes till water evaporates
Add all ingredients (except for seasoning) to blender jar and make smooth paste
Heat little cooking oil in saucepan on medium heat
Add black mustard seed and let it splatter
Add cumin and curry leaf
Turn off heat
Add the tomato paste to seasoning in saucepan and stir gently in the heat to absorb and mix
Transfer to storage jar or bowl
Serve with savoury snacks like samosas, spread on toast, side dish for pita.
Leftovers will keep in fridge for a week
