There’s a lot of websites that say monoglycerides are from vegetables, and a lot of websites that say they’re from animals…anyone know which one it is? Do you eat monoglycerides?
Also known as trans fats (very unhealthy), monoglycerides are oils or fats processed at high tempuratures with hydrogen. It’s a process that can be done with animal fat or vegetable oil.
That’s how I understand it…but anyone can chime in if I have mispoken.
The source of monoglycerides maybe either from animal fats or vegetable oils. They are often used in margarines, ice cream, beverages and even chewing gums … Maybe much better to prevent monoglycerides cause you don’t know which is which…
