There’s a lot of websites that say monoglycerides are from vegetables, and a lot of websites that say they’re from animals…anyone know which one it is? Do you eat monoglycerides? ![]()
Also known as trans fats (very unhealthy), monoglycerides are oils or fats processed at high tempuratures with hydrogen. It’s a process that can be done with animal fat or vegetable oil.
That’s how I understand it…but anyone can chime in if I have mispoken.
The source of monoglycerides maybe either from animal fats or vegetable oils. They are often used in margarines, ice cream, beverages and even chewing gums
… Maybe much better to prevent monoglycerides cause you don’t know which is which…
