Just so that no-one is confused, if you have a bladder infection see a doctor, if you have asthma, don’t stop using your medication, if you’re just looking at individual symptoms sometimes it’s important not to treat them, but look into the causes of them and treat the causes instead.
You are always welcome markwilson:D
I have read that a simple way to help treat sinusitis to add certain fruits and vegetables to the diet. One antioxidant that has been proven to be very effective in helping to relieve sinusitis is quercitin.Onions are rich in quercitin. Onion skins are where most of the quercitin is, so making a tea with the skins is a simple way to get this nutrient. You may also make some garlic soup, for garlic is also an antioxidant.
Cruciferous vegetables are known for their antiseptic properties, but they can also help to open up the sinuses, which is especially helpful for those with any sinus problems. Some of these are radish, turnip, cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage.
But the most known way of treating sinusitis is eating loads of citrus fruits or drinking their juice.
Kiwi: Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, Vitamin E & fibre. It’s Vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.
Apple: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low Vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of Vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.
Strawberry: Protective fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protects the body from causing, blood vessels clogging free radicals. (Actually, any berry is good for you…they’re high in anti-oxidants and they actually keep us young…blueberries are the best and very versatile in the health field…they get rid of all the free-radicals that invade our bodies)
