Orange Juice Detox

Hello all I’m new here to the forum. I’m real curious about becoming a Vegan and the benefits to my overall health.

I have read about juice detox’s and tried before and almost went a day on only orange juice. But I stopped a McDonalds around 9:00 that night. However if I do go on an orange juice detox what is the best way to go about it if I work from 8:00 till 4:30? Is it okay to juice a whole days serving of juice in the morning, take it to work, and keep it refrigerated?

How many oz’s is the preferred amount for doing an orange juice detox?

Has anyone done it and do you or don’t you recommend it? I’m very new to all of this and a bit confused. Any help is appreciated.

I never went on an orange juice detox :astonished: I do not see any benefit.

If you work full time, you will almost certainly feel tired and faint if you have nothing to eat!

I know some people who beleive in fasting (which is essentially what this “juice detox” is) They recommend starting the fast at night, so that the worst is over before you go to work.

There are many detox diets where you eat mainly fresh vegetables, salad, and a limited amount of oil and high-carbohydrate foods. Usually you would abstain from meat, dairy, alcohol, refined sugars and/or caffeine for the duration of the diet. I would recommend this type of diet if you want to detox - it is much healthier than fasting or living off juice!

Alternatively, you could become vegan gradually, instead of shocking your body. You will probably find this a little less traumatic! :slight_smile:

Having juice all day? Doesn’t this make you weak for the whole day? I’ve tried having juice and water for a day and that made me collapsed before dinner…
